This module provides the PnetCDF library 1.4.1 (see also https://trac.mcs.anl.gov/projects/parallel-netcdf).
This version is compiled using OpenMPI 1.8 and GNU Compiler 4.8.
PnetCDF is a library providing high-performance I/O while still maintaining file-format compatibility with Unidata's NetCDF. NetCDF gives scientific programmers a self-describing and portable means for storing data. However, prior to version 4, netCDF does so in a serial manner. By making some small changes to the netCDF APIs, PnetCDF can use MPI-IO to achieve high-performance parallel I/O.
The PnetCDF library package is provided as is and with all faults. The provider does not give any warranties for any kind of inaccuracies or errors in the results produced by PnetCDF. The provider will not be liable for any damages you may suffer in connection with using the PnetCDF.
